Hi, I'm Sylvia

I study Information, with a focus on human-centred design and making systems accessible.

I'm a designer, researcher and human-centred thinker studying for a Bachelor of Information ('27) at the University of Toronto. With a background in Linguistics and East Asian Studies, I approach design with a deep understanding of people and curiosity for how the world works.

In today's AI-leveraged world, I'm constantly learning and exploring different artificial intelligence tools. Figma Make, Google Whisk, ChatGPT, Gemini, you name it: I've tinkered with them all and use them to assist my design process.

Outside of design, I'm the video editor for the UX Lounge podcast and I dance around Toronto with my dance crews. You can also find me sipping on fragrant milk tea and suggesting the best of Toronto's food scene on my foodie Instagram :)
